I feel this is one of my best blogs. I revised as part of an assignment, but at the time of revision I felt I had a firmer grasp on Paulo Freire's concept of problem Posing and linking it to a growth mindset. As I wrote I found myself linking the problem posing to my parenting. I was also able to identify moments where I utilized the banking concept with my children. I learned and grew with my understanding of these concepts, and was able to make an informed decision on a lifestyle change I would make.
I am choosing my week 4 reflection as one of my best blogs because of the open vulnerability I displayed in my story. Opening up emotionally has always been foreign to me, so offering up a time of weakness to my professor, classmates, and the vast world of internet users was difficult. After typing the words on a page I realized how the release made me feel lighter in my soul. I shared what only one other human witnessed, which I personally felt like was a turning point for my emotional growth.
Choosing this blog post was inevitable. This was my first YouTube video, actually any video that was published on the internet for eyes other than Facebook friends. The reason this is a powerful video is my organization. It was obvious that I was answering prompted questions and using notes. Also, I gave a personal experience in my video of how my questions are becoming more though provoking, and how I ask why more than my two-year old. This video was monumental in this English class as it was shown by Professor M. in a positive way to our class. That encouraged me to use video more than once this semester. However, this video proved that I can read between the lines of what information is given, and decide if I accept this information as the truth or need to investigate further.
